Finish Guzzi project. Following Dr. John.

Just a little while ago, I promised to share you an important project for me. I didn't do it. I’m so sorry. Personally, I should consider that it was stressful. Too many changes in my life made me lift my anxiety, so I decided to finish the challenge.  Now, I’ve finished and I should share… I want it!!!!

I’m starting with the last chapter then I’ll show all steps for getting the final product. Looking into last year, the effort has been too big, positive, though.

To sum up, I am grateful to work with Dr. Miquel Gimeno, who has been confident with me and Clarise, stopped lambs screeching while I slept. 

Finally, I want to write some words of a Spanish poet.

It’s passed a whole load of time, since my last comment. There are a lot of things that have changed, and others are still changing.

First of all, the red cucumber is history fortunetaly. However, it’s time to start a new history again. The 2023 season has been a disaster, I should try to get rid of the land of confusion, though. No more time for it.

It’s not as hard as you hit, it’s not as hard as you get hit. You keep moving forward, holding on straight.

Red cucumber 1098 chapter I

Cucumber is a salad vegetable, fresh and it's eaten in Summer almost in all Mediterranean countries, but here cucumber is the correct word to describe a dangerous and explosive motorcycle called Ducati 1098,

I'm going to explain a true story about how the people can live with lies. Although they are  thinking that they are doing the correct way.

Nowadays, It doesn't matter , but in these days I was very disappontied.You should remenber, the problem is not the brand, the problem is the people who is working in a local garage with this manufacturer. Let's go!!!!

 

From that picture to last video the time did not want to continue. Finally all finished well.

One day, when I was ready to come back home from a beatiful small city. It was a September very hot day.My dear motorcycle stopped after a few kilometres. I thought that it could be a simple topic but Iwas wrong.

Everybody believes that japanese motorcycle are better than others, for instance the italian brands but it's not true. They want to do things difference, to make designs which the people don't forget for ever and ever. Passion is the word.

Well, when my bike was in my home, I was not enough experience to fix out it, so I decided to speak with local dealer. Ducati has an important garage net what they work and the have preference to receive mechanical parts from Bologna. After two months I didn't know which was my motorcycle fail, a lot of work was the reasson for not get an answer of them. Finally, I got a solution from the local dealer: The only way to fix out my bike was change all the engine, Really George?? I thought that was a bad joke.

They said that the cramkshafts and heads were broken and I should spend enough money to repair so the solution was to find a other engine to change.  During a bit days, I was thinking about that problem, even I was searching complete engines on internet, there was one engine in good condition in Italy, but I decided to try other way.

my engine was broken, so I could to try to fix out by my own and If I had not to success I would  buy one. I had time, tools and garage, Why not to try?

The only problem of my plan was that I didn't have knowledge about it, so I decided to contact with Ducati Spain in Madrid. I was explained my problem and my plan. I wanted to receive mechanical formation from the brand. The answer from them was surprising, since they did not want to have technical formation if I had a motorcycle business. In the other side, Ducati didn’t like the local dealer relation with me, and the local dealer gave me an explanation. In few words, political and correct words but nothing with my problem.

Ducati 900 ss maintenence

 Hi friends,

After too time without writing here, today it’s a good day to show new jobs. It’s has a new lady on garage and it’s necessary to do a bit maintance in order to improve security, wheels, brakes among others.

However, when we work in it, There are surprise that change your time tables. For instance, I decided to change the rear chain silent blocks and It was a disaster, because I had a lot of difficult to change that’s parts.

It the end, you can see in next images, the old parts. Fucking silent blocks…..

Firstly tou can see the lady without her shoes. This model is a ugly duck of the Italian brand, but it has an indestructible engine. Less engine power but more efficiency. I prefer it at this moment.

Then, You can see the rubber in the rear wheel, It was a har job but after twenty years I thought that It should to change, didn’t think?

Changing all the bearings were important task, but it was more easily

Great surprise old film OSSA watching film machine

OSSA was one of the main Spanish motorcycle brands in last century. Spain had political and economical problems and all people tried to find solutions. One of them was OSSA.

Thanks to riders like Santiago Herrero , please you can read more about Santiago here in the entry-blog in 2013/11/09, or chief mechanics like Eduardo Giro ,the motorcycle’s fans known OSSA. OSSA and the competition is the same thing. They had passion to be create great machines. Their blood was  fuel.

Maybe that manufacturer it wasn’t big such as Montesa, Derbi or Bultaco but they hard worked to fight with modern and  powerful Japanese brands. Besides, in Spain there was a lot of problems to find materials, such as magnesium, aluminum amongs others. They had to buy in France those materials.

As, how did start OSSA? Only motorcycles manufacturer? The answer is NO.

OSSA is the acronym of Orpheo Sincronic Sociedad Anónima. In the early of the last XX century, they started to make watching film machines and the they changed an started to develop motorcycles.

Nowadays it isn’t common to find one of these machines, but last week I saw one. It was a great surprise. How is possible this machine to find in a small town near the Mediterranean sea? I don’t have answers for this, but the most important is that we can enjoy of an important chapter of the Spain industry history.

Re-start

My last coment here was on 3th  January 2020. Sorry for my silence. A lot of different things have  changed my life style but it’s moment to re-start. Last chapter have been closed so I want to open a new one, but a few old customes are part of my life. I need feel that old oil engine odor when you dissembled it. That oil is my blood. My children need me.

Lambretta moped VII

Hi friends

This week the entry is dedicate to, assembly new wheels parts. I don’t know to mount but is not a problem. Before I took an images with my camera to know the spokes configuration, and is easy because only to see old configuration spokes on the wheel.

The most important here is to colocate the spokes in correct position, see on last image, one spoke on exterior and another spoke is colocate to interior hub wheel

To finish is necessary to colocate the wheel in XY adjust rotation wheel. My table adjust is homemade, is more cheap and very easy to construction. This table is necessary to correct adjust and when we will use the wheels don’t have a vibration or other problem.

Montjuic magic mountain and pure racing

Now is necessary to prepare the new wheels, is necessary to buy a new spokes, because is mor cheap than to repare the ol spokes,

Steps:

First .dismount old rims from motorcycle, analyse it all parts, and begin the work

Second: After analyse all parts, if you see the parts Teruel weather was a hard work in motorcycle parts, I don’t like this parts, is necessary to change, but this project is only a exposition race moped, 

I don’t preocupate. Then is necessary clean to prepare paint parts, see the next image, Is possible to see in next image, another parts of motorcycle not only a wheel parts

Paint, paint, paint

Is necesary to good work restoration, dissambly all parts of bike and  paint, old paints in old frames is very difficult to work,

You have two options, in one hand to use a stripper and remove old paint, it’s a dirty job, and another hand to use new paint to cover old paint. This new paint is imprimation, is necessary to cover old paint and small hits in the frame or another part of bike.

Finally the last step is paint with your favourite colour.Is easy no?

The last images show differents parts before begin de paint process. To good paint is necesary a paint cabin, I don’thave a lot of money to buy these cabin, I only have a very cheap homemade cabin, but the result is correct is possible to get better, but at this moment is no possible.

The last images show second hand primary paint, you must to see the spine frame with manual sand, to get good result, while more manual sand is possible to get better.

Comanche camper van

Hi friends

The today chapter is to show my new (second hand) camper trailer.... Ehh here not only is motorcycle to live!!!!!

I finished with my small "iglu" is necessary to walk new experiencies and more confortable to travel in circuits or another travels.

The comanche model is an spanish model from Barcelona. My unit was in good condition but was neccesary repaint he frame and clean the room. Is good for 4 persons.

Champi women racing team

A few time ago, I saw a article of Champi team, I don't know that Manuel had a team in spanish championship, ok it's normally an old racer, had a team no?

The diference with this team is : a woman, yes this team has only woman in her structure, all person are women......

Manuel Champi Herrero is last 80 cc wolrd champion in 1989, with Derbi, Champi is from Albacete, fuck "Mancheguets " in the world. Another information, Champi won her wolrd championship withou wining any race..............very curious!!!

In 1989 the wolrd champion had four categories 80 cc, 125 cc 250 cc and 500 cc all categories with 2T engines.  What time !!! Good championship !!!!

BMW heritage custom competicion

The summer is end, the new season is here, but step by step, in the new season the first rule is no fast, the second rule is enjoy with the works and show with good results. It’s ok?

It is admirable to see the new concept with BMW wallpapers.  The first step of the competition is to presentate handmade drawings BMW concepts, finish in sept 15. Everyone, can vote the best drawing, and from all drawings only can stay 10 drawings. From 10 drawings the FUEL magazine personal choose 3 drawings, and choose first, second and third.

In another part, this page have a BMW custom competition, this more expensive competition, you have a customitate a BMW model in your garage and show the bike in BMW motorrad days in formigal the next sept 8-10. 

Only can stay 4 models, the first position is the best, because is a travel around Morocco with new BMW model.
